Are you ready for your close up?

A MESSAGE FROM THE BANNER BARON...

I'm a technology geek. I love gadgets and machines and the bigger the better. The equipment we use at eSigns.com to produce your signs and banners is really, REALLY cool. It's so cool that some days I just get up from my desk and walk into the plant just to look at it and marvel. People probably assume that I'm thinking deep thoughts, or making grand plans, but really, I'm just in awe of the technology and I like to watch it make things. Roll, print, cut, hem, grommet, lather, rinse, repeat. Very, VERY cool.  So the other day we set up a camera and shot some video of me and the machinery so we could give you a behind the scenes look. Just follow this link to see these amazing machines in action. Please don't judge my performance too harshly.

The machinery is the star!

No 3-D Glasses Required!

A Message from the Banner Baron...
What's the deal with Hollywood and these 3-D movies? Stop bringing us stuff that just costs more and doesn't add any real benefit. I just saw The Great Gatsby, and it's pretty spectacular. The sets and costumes are just amazing, and Leonardo DiCaprio does a great job in the lead role. Big talent, big budget, and every penny shows on the screen. They got Jay Z to work on the music. Brilliant move, great stuff, and I bet he didn't come cheap, either. Definitely worth it. They made the movie in 3-D which was completely unnecessary and doesn't add ANYTHING to the entertainment value. It just runs up the price of the tickets and forces everyone to wear those Buddy Holly glasses for 2 ½ hours. Which brings me to hems and grommets.

At eSigns.com, we put grommets on ALL FOUR CORNERS of our banners, AND at space intervals along each side, BUT WE DON'T CHARGE EXTRA. We also heat seam all four sides of our banners, which gives them a nicer finish and makes them stronger. It takes more time, but it's WORTH THE EFFORT and it doesn't impact the cost to our customers. We are in the business of providing these extras FOR FREE, because we think they are necessary. So, let's summarize: Extras from eSigns.com that make the product better and don't cost extra are GOOD. 3-D movies that don't need to be 3-D with higher ticket prices are NOT GOOD. Hollywood, I hope you're listening. If you'd like to see some of MY on camera work, follow this link to see me in action it the eSigns.com production facility.

Troubleshooting: The Economy Retractable Banner Stand

Troubleshooting:
The Economy Retractable Banner Stand

Banner Stands can sometimes seem complicated to set up, and as with anything that has moving parts, things can go wrong. However, there are some very easy steps you can take to fix any trouble you may run into.

Let's start with some instructions on setting up the banner stand. It's pretty simple to do, and proper set up can help avoid any unwanted complications.

Setting up:

1) Open up the feet on the base. They should turn so they are perpendicular to the base.

2) Remove the locking key from the base. It will be on the side of the base and look like a little metal loop. Note: you can clip it into the bottom of the stand for safekeeping, when the stand is not in use. For now, keep it within reach, you'll need again it once the stand is set up.

3) Extend the pole. The pole is in three parts. By twisting each section to the left you can loosen the pole and extend it to the appropriate height. Twisting the pole to the right will lock it in place.

4) Insert the pole in the base. There is a plastic piece that the bottom of the pole will fit into.

5) Extend the banner. Carefully pull the banner up by the top and hook it into the the top of the pole.

6) Put the locking key back into the base. Doing this will help keep the tension off the retracting mechanism when the stand is in use.

Taking Down:

1) Remove the locking pin. Take the locking pin out of the base to engage the retracting mechanism. Now you can clip it into that spot under the base for safe keeping until the next use.

2) Unhook the banner from the pole. When you unhook the banner, carefully and slowly guide it back into the base.

3) Remove the pole. Simply lift it out and twist the sections to the left to loosen, and to the right to tighten back into place once it is collapsed.

4) Place everything in the case.

And thats it! You're done!

Common problems

One of the most common issues we have heard from customers about with this stand is that the banner won't retract. While this can be frustrating when you are trying to pack up in a hurry, it is actually very easy to correct. If you find your banner is not retracting properly, all you need to do is lift up the banner (as if to set it up) stop, and allow it to retract. In some cases, it may take a couple of tries, but the mechanism should engage, and retract as it should.

That's all there is to it. If you have any questions about any of these steps or you are still having trouble give us a call at 800-494-5850 and our friendly solutioneers will be able to help you out.

Stay stealthy.

Shipping at the Speed of WOW

A MESSAGE FROM THE BANNER BARON...

Fast is one of those words that can mean different things to different people at different times.Sometimes fast means a couple of hours and sometimes it means a couple of minutes. It all has to do with relative time and absolute time. The bullet train that takes you from London to Paris in a little over two hours is fast, and you can get a cup of coffee in a couple of minutes if the line's not too long at Starbuck's. Most of the time fast is good, but some people wait twelve years for a great bottle of scotch. Twelve years for a cup of coffee? I don't think so. Twelve years from London to Paris? I could walk there quicker.

When we say "FAST" at eSigns.com, we mean FAST like in a couple of hours. And, we just got FASTER. If you place and complete your order by 10 EST any business day, we'll print and ship your order THAT SAME DAY! Now that's fast. I'm so excited about the speed of our printing and shipping capabilities that I broke out the video camera to TESTIFY! Follow this link to see what all of the excitement is about. Then put us to the test!

'Cause we're FAST, baby!

Presenting: The 18x24 QuikSign!

PRESENTING: The 18x24 Quicksign!

The name says it all. The Quiksign is fast and easy to set up and always looks great! With an 18"x24" graphic panel this sign has more then enough space to display any message you want. Setting up this a-frame is even easier then designing it. All you do is unfold the frame and insert the support brace. The panels slide into the frame and within moments you are advertising with a brand new sign!

18"x24" may not seem like much space but the graphic panels can hold a surprising amount of information. In addition to a great size, the images that are printed on them are an amazing full color digital process– the same we use for all of our signs–so not only are there no limits to the number of colors you can use but you can include super-sharp photographs in your design! All this, and we haven't even mentioned that the 4mm coroplast panels are incredibly durable and can withstand almost any weather!

The Quicksign frame is made of a very strong plastic. It has a wide foot print to help it stay stable in windy areas. When the frame is set up it has a solid feel it, yet it is light enough to be picked up and moved around as needed, so you can advertise anywhere in an instant! As if it wasn't easy enough to set up and move around, the frame has a handle built into it so anyone can set it up, take it down, or take it to another location without missing a beat. All in all, if this isn't the A-frame that you dream about at night, I don't know what else I can say to convince you.

Well, there is one more thing. Right now through Monday this spectacular A-frame sign which is usually a great deal at $114.99, is now only $59!! And yes, that price includes custom printed graphic panels– that's a price that's hard to beat!

Fast & Faster!

A Message from the Banner Baron...

I like the way that some words sound when you say them. Not necessarily what they mean, just how "magical" and "melodic" they sound. Hyperbole is one of those words. It means an obvious and intentional exaggeration. An extravagant figure of speech not intended to be taken literally. Like "I could eat a million of those!" When this is done in advertising or promotion, the legal guys call it "puffery", which is also kind of fun to say. Puffery. Hyperbole. Might as well add in grandiosity as well. If someone's guilty of all three, chances are you're hearing promises or claims that can't be backed up. That's why I'm very careful when we make promises to our customers.

Perhaps you've heard us say, "Fast, Easy, Cheap, and Totally Awesome." That's a pretty bold claim but we're dedicated to making it a reality every day. Today, I'd like to place extra emphasis on the "Fast" part. When you place and complete your order from eSigns.com before 10 AM EST any business day, we'll ship your order THAT SAME DAY! Now THAT'S FAST! That's my hyperbole-free and puffery-free promise. Now, in Texas, we have a saying about people who "talk big". We say they're "all hat and no cattle" and I think that's pretty clever, but I don't ever want it said about me or eSigns.com. So keep that in mind when you're looking at this week's specials.

We are ALL CATTLE!
