Heat welding Banner hems

To properly finish high quality Vinyl Banner or sign good company like www.Esigns.com will hem the banner. Another words - will fold and enforce all 4 banner edges. While where are many possible ways to finish banner hems, we were looking at Heat Banner Hemming machines at Atlanta '08 Sign Show. I had big hopes to use Leister Uniplan machine to hem vinyl banners, but after testing it for my self at the sign show I decided to pass on it. It was making noise like an old teapot and looked like it was almost overwhelming it self just to work. Banner comes out smugged and the hem was far from perfect. What made me smile is a poster of a happy lady at their booth crawling on the floor after this little ugly machine. Who in world in production place would like to crawal on the warehouse floor to make 50-100 banners a shift? She must have an iron ankles. To be continued...
